Additional Details

The sessions will be conducted online over a Google meet.

Each session is one hour long and is conducted on a weekly basis. Generally, six sessions are recommended to address an issue or challenge, but in some cases, additional sessions may be required.

Each session is subsidized and costs Rs.500 (Rupees Five hundred only) per session. It must be paid before the start of each session. Typically, private practitioners charge an average of Rs.1,500/- per session.

We can’t guarantee results, but based on past experiences, most of our clients have seen improvements. However, you must be committed to the process and attend all the sessions to experience a change.

The contact details of your therapist will be shared with you before the start of your session. You can contact your therapist even after the completion of these sessions. Your sessions and interactions, which are a part of the drive, are entirely free (as the initial amount will be refunded). Once the drive is over, subsequent sessions will be based on the terms discussed between you and your therapist.

The number of sessions required depends on the nature of the challenge and the outcome you are looking for. Generally, in the first session, the therapist will provide an overview of the expected number of sessions.

A continuous flow of sessions is recommended for seamless functioning. However, we understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, and we allow one rescheduling of a session for every 4 sessions. Rescheduling must be done at least 24 hours before the already scheduled session.

To continue receiving the subsidized rates, you will need to participate in a few activities on a weekly basis. These activities may include sharing your positive experiences with therapy on social media or referring fellow students to the subsidized therapy program.
While we do encourage participants to contribute to spreading the word about the benefits of therapy, we understand that not everyone may be able to participate in the same way. Hence, we have various activities from which the participant can choose.
The subsidized therapy program is open exclusively to psychology students.
The subsidized therapy sessions are exclusively for psychology students, who often face unique challenges in their field. Many psychology students in India do not have a clear career path and may struggle with mental health issues that can impact their studies and future work as practitioners. By offering support to these students early on, they are better equipped to manage their own thoughts and emotions, which can then translate to better care for their future clients. The program aims to indirectly improve mental health challenges the wider community faces through early intervention with psychology students.
